My actual work

Real projects. Thoughtful finishes.

This gallery shows work I have completed or worked on—from cabinet finishing to residential and commercial painting.

Me, around age 16.

About me

I learned the trade by doing the work.

I've worked alongside my dad since I was 16, learning the trade on residential and commercial job sites and in our finishing shop.

Over about seven years, that hands-on experience has taught me more than how to paint and finish a surface. It has built my patience, practical problem-solving skills, eye for preparation, and respect for the details that bring a project together.

That background shapes the way I approach the work today: understand the surface, prepare carefully, and stay focused on a consistent result.

Community focused

JP Finishing Group is my way of putting that experience to work for homeowners and businesses in the communities I serve. My goal is to be someone people feel comfortable calling—clear about the project, respectful of the property, and attentive to the finish.

01What services do you offer?

I offer interior painting, exterior painting, commercial painting, deck painting, wood and deck staining, and cabinet finishing. If you have another surface in mind, send the details so I can discuss the project with you.

02Do you take on commercial work?

Yes. I have hands-on commercial painting experience. Include the project type, location, and scope with your request so I can review the details.

03How do I request an estimate?

Complete the short estimate form, then choose email or text. Your device will open a prepared message for you to review. Press Send in your email or messaging app so I receive your request.

04What information should I include?

Tell me what you would like painted or finished, its current condition, your project city or ZIP, and your preferred timing. The more useful detail you share, the easier it is to start the conversation clearly.

05Can I send photos of my project?

Yes. Send the initial request first, then share photos in the follow-up email or text conversation. Wide views and close-ups of the current surface are both helpful.

06Do you work in my area?

I’m based in Minnesota. Include your project city or ZIP with your request, and I can confirm availability for your location.

07What happens after I get in touch?

I review the project details, clarify the scope and finish you have in mind, and arrange a walk-through when needed. From there, I can outline the next steps for preparation, finish work, and final review.

08Will the website give me an instant price?

No. Every surface and project scope is different, so the form starts a direct conversation rather than generating an automatic price. An estimate can be discussed after the project details have been reviewed.
